Practical Nursing
Next Start Date: August 2026
Practical Nursing is a two-year program; students begin the program in 11th grade and complete the program in 12th grade. 11th grade students spend four classes per day at CTC; 12th graders spend the full-day at CTC and complete high school credits required for graduation online. Students learn to provide care for the physical and emotional needs of patients, including the administration of medications, therapeutic treatments, and rehabilitation assistance. Experienced instructors teach safe and efficient work practices while preparing students to plan and administer nursing care to patients in hospitals, extended care facilities, physicians’ office, healthcare agencies and private homes.

High School Application Process
- Complete the CTC High School Application online in the spring.
- Let your high school counselor know that you applied to CTC.
- Notification of acceptance/non-acceptance will be emailed.
- Attend mandatory Orientation at the CTC campus with a parent or guardian.
