Aviation Maintenance General Technician is a one-year program for high school seniors. Students complete the first step in the FAA-approved Aviation Maintenance Airframe Technician program, where they learn the basics of aircraft drawing, weight & balance, math, physics, electricity, fluid lines & fittings, materials & processes, ground operations, cleaning & corrosion control, and forms, records, and mechanic privileges. Our experienced instructors teach safe and efficient work practices while preparing students for a career as an Airframe Mechanic.
rising 12th graders only, must have already met Algebra and reading requirements for graduation, min. 2.0 GPA and good attendance and behavior record
3 credits (satisfies the Practical Arts credit required for graduation)
